Before I became active in this newsgroup ... I stumbled across the CAN 60 minutes piece (the text version). I was OUTRAGED. I could not BELIEVE what I was seeing. I also thought it was a parody of some sort, like somebody was making fun of 60 minutes or scientology- so I continued following the links ... and then stumbled across a.r.s.

I still did not know what to think as I lurked and posted and even thought for a while that maybe a.r.s. critics were over-reacting ... as I always believed that scientology was just some new-age type of religion that did not do any harm. I know several scientologists and they never seemed to try to "recruit" me ... I even thought that the possibly they had good reason for wanting to sue CAN originally if they were not doing all that others claimed they were, then they had the right to be left alone. So.. I left A.R.S. for awhile.

Then I found operation clambake ... Then I read the paulette cooper story ... and the story on Lisa McPherson. And I thought "this is crazy" ... and ... "Where the FUCK is our GOVERNMENT".

And I have been here ever since. And I don't plan on going anywhere until this whole thing is gone. They have no regard for human life. It is disgusting.

Rhonda
