As expected, Hole has decided to stop touring the US with Marilyn Manson, effective immediately, citing "production issues," according to the band's publicist, Gayle Fine of Q-Prime Management. The short-lived tour has been marred by both disappointing ticket sales and bickering between both bands. Surprisingly, Courtney Love was relatively well behaved onstage at the final gig last week, saying only that it's been "a great tour." She did, however, offer one apparent explanation: "I don't want to deal with the burning crosses outside the venue."
Meanwhile, Marilyn took an onstage spill about 45 minutes into his band's set, falling off a monitor onto his side, which aborted the show. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills, with a severe right ankle sprain, according to the band's publicist, Jennie Boddy. Speculation was rampant among both fans and industry insiders that the fall was staged, that Manson was intentionally trying to find a suitable act to replace Hole. Some fans in attendance even thought the fall was comical at the time as Manson was wearing a shiny silver bare bottomed outfit with high platform boots, and when he fell, his rear end was visibly exposed as he curled up on stage.

Marilyn is going to be getting married to his girlfriend actress Rose McGowan. Rose revealed this engagement on the Howard Stern radio show. "We burn Furbies together," she said when quizzed about the pair's compatibility.
McGowan told MTV News that Marilyn had recently popped the question. "I was in the bathtub, he lit candles, it was very nice. It was romantic," McGowan says about Marilyn's proposal. A spokesperson for Manson has confirmed the announcement, but noted that the two have not yet set a date.
"It's funny because people think that we're becoming conventional, but I think it will actually give us more freedom to be crazy," McGowan continued when pressed for details. "The more comfortable we get with each other, the crazier we become individually, so I actually expect him to be ten times as crazy. I think this will totally probably free us both up to be way more crazy, and we're the only two people in the world that are kind of as crazy as each other, so we're perfectly compatible.

On new years eve the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas decided to put some on Marilyn's other talents to work for them. The place was being renovated so they decided to ask Marilyn for a physical contribution to the cause. He happily obliged and moved the entire room's contents out the window to the street below. "I usually have to pay for it," he said later, "so I can't pass up an opportunity to destroy things for free. There's no better place because it's the centre of evil, Las Vegas. They need me here."
