Christmas message

Christmas is the time of year when the whole world looks brighter and people do their best to become as happy, prosperous and friendly as they would really like to be throughout all of the year.

Such is the broad intention of the Christmas message of "peace on earth and goodwill towards all of Mankind".

In our ever increasingly multicultural society tolerance and understanding are the vital human qualities we will all need to exercise more in order that all live in harmony.

We may not all be in general agreement with the way that others worship a supreme being or the days or times in the year they choose to do so, but we can insist that those of all races, colours and creeds be free to express their beliefs and sociable intentions as and when they wish.

L Ron Hubbard, the founder of Dianetics and Scientology, has written: "On the day when we can fully trust each other there will be peace on Earth."

May our Christmas and new millennium's prayers and resolutions promote happiness and hope for all mankind to achieve worldwide mutual tolerance, trust, peace and goodwill, where all are free to create the best possible life for themselves and others.
