(It was through tertius.net.au via aone.net.au, but I'd be happier if you could avoid mentioning this to the CoS ... let 'em work it out themselves ;-) Additionally, legal information has come to light showing that the CoS doesn't own the material itself any more - it's owned by a bankrupt shell corporation which the CoS drained to avoid a debt ... in any case, the CoS can't sue (because it doesn't actualy own the material) and the shell corporation can't sue (until the debt is paid). The most likely owner of the material is Larry Wollersheim, who sued the CoS and won $5m, so they drained the shell corporation to avoid paying him ... and Wolly has no problems with me posting the material :-) For further information, see http://home.sol.no/heldal/CoS/archive/xenu/rtc_caught_lying.txt "LATEST NEWS: RTC CAUGHT LYING! RTC does not represent the copyright owner of NOTs as they have claimed all along! Go here to read the proof! These files will stay on this site until Dovre falls!!!!! (a Norwegian expression)" They're blustering to try to intimidate and don't actually have a legal leg to stand on. This is because they've spent ten years selling these materials at $1000/hour when they didn't actually have the rights to them. And they CERTAINLY have NO reason to hassle suburbia.net or world.net. What they're really after is my Web page: http://www.suburbia.net/~fun/scn/ > >Posting date: Time: Subject: > >8/4 04:12:13 Not anything in particular > >9/4 05:02:52 Repost... > >9/4 05:14:14 Meaningless Trivia > >Msg ID: fun@dora.tertius.net.au See? It's harassment to intimidate. The only thing to do with a bully is to stand up to them. The entire Net will stand behind you. A good guy to contact for info on the CoS in Australia is Tony McClelland (tonym@mail.mpx.com.au) - he knows everything about 'em. By the way, they have NOT tried calling me, even though they have my home number. This is because they know damned well they haven't got a leg to stand on. Mark, would you mind terribly if I added this email of yours to the Web page? The Net critics of Scientology have kept going this long by keeping everyone as informed as possible. In other developments, Mark Hanna has been [Sorry, Web page viewers - I've edited this bit to protect someone else. Boo hoo.] > ;-) > Mark - d.
