Well, here is how I handle it. I keep a copy of OT III on my pillow at night. Whenever the phone rings and no one answers when I say hello, I start reading page one of OT III. I started doing this a week ago and I have been keeping stats. They don't call as much as they did during the previous two weeks. You know what it is --- they hear this stuff and they think they are going to get pneumonia and die, because "Ron" said so. I'll tell you what. If you call me up in the middle of the night and I read you a Xenu bedtime story and you DO get pneumonia and die (because you believe it will really happen), then be sure and have the executor of your estate call me up in the morning so I know where to send flowers. Executor of your estate? Who am I kidding? How many people in Scientology do you know that have any money left? Ha! Not too many, I thought so. By the way, for all you newbies who have not learned yet how to download any of the 104 web sites on the world wide web where the OT levels are, all you have to do is call me up at three in the morning and don't say anything, and I will read it to you! Hell, I almost have it memorized with as many harassing phone calls as I get. Oh, you need my number, that's right. It is (954) 434-9777. The cult has it already, so there I have no fear in publishing it. Wow. I can just see it now. The U.S. marshals come crashing into my house in the middle of the night with Helena Kobrin to seize my telephones..... I thought of putting OT III on my answering machine, but normal people who call me would think I'm nuts. What is the moral of this story? Words can only hurt you or frighten you if you let them. OT III is just a stupid story line which no serious science fiction buff would give any thought to. And Cory, you thought it was a "holy scripture." What a shmuck.... With Best Wishes, Steve Fishman
